Faculty Diversity Resources
The DEIA Resources for Faculty page was designed to acknowledge and support the DEIA work that our faculty at UMBC are already doing, and to help individual faculty and departments think through and augment their own DEIA efforts now and in the years ahead. Learn more.
The Faculty Affairs site also covers these topics. Learn more.
Land Acknowledgment Resources
The Division of Institutional Equity (DOIE), in collaboration with the Inclusion Council, formally acknowledges the land of Indigenous peoples on which UMBC is located and encourages all in our community to share the following statement:
UMBC was established upon the land of the Piscataway and Susquehannock peoples. Over time, citizens of many more Indigenous nations have come to reside in this region. We humbly offer our respect to all past, present, and future Indigenous people connected to this place.
Prayer, Meditation, and Spirituality
UMBC offers a variety of spaces where community members may pray or meditate. Find a list here.
